Typographic Hierarchy

In today's lesson i did a Typographic Hierarchy in class using five features to improve the paragraph such as the 

size 

weight  

colour 

position 

type contrast 

first i had to open the file on the share drive called the Typographic Hierarchy then i had to take a screen shot of the four paragraphs 

then i had to demonstrate 

as you can see this is the the four paragraphs when its finished i found the task quiet easy as it was well explained and would like to hope fully be doing more and improved of these in the future  

Trace Image Illustrator

TODAY we did a tracer image on adobe illustrator we had to open up a A3 file and then went to file place and place an image of drawings onto illustrator and coloured them in with separate colours

1.) open adobe illustrator 

2.) fre-view 

3.) place image (to trace) file place 

4.) image trace pannel (from window menu) 

5.) preview 

6.) experiment with slider 

7.) turn off preview the tracer 

8.) expannel (in options pannel) 

9.) live paint object (command+option x).

10.) press k for live bucket (drop colour).

Adding Stokes On A Square Using The Appearance Pannel

TODAY i used illustrator to add strokes using the appearance pannel to a square as you can see the square was at a random size i choose and added multiple strokes to my square i tried to make the square a more bold and thick using the strokes and got the square at a decent size

Letter Designs On Illustrator

today i designed a series of letters on illustrator i did a couple of my names and to do this you have to set up a page on illustrator any size as long as you can make a decent design i used the text tool to type letters on the page

 

i then went to the window option at the top of the screen then selected expanded then i went to the direct selection tool and clicked and dragged on the ancor points to make these designs you can also drag the letters away from each other to make more space you can do this buy using the selection tool to pull them apart from each other   

pathfinders symbol spray

in todays lesson we used the programme illustrator we played around with the pathfinder panel from the window panel at the top of the screen i hovered over the options for the names of the icons to show up

    then we had to place two identical circles next to each other with the same colours and strokes on the art board we then united the two circles together and takes the colour of the most top path 

 

the by using the minus front tool the top most path cuts out the bottom shape.  

we then tried the same kind of technique but with people made out of shapes 

 

i united all the shapes together to make the person/character then i dragged the character to the symbols pannel and then used the symbol spray to make multiples of the same image

The activities we did today was meet knew classmates we also did an activity where we learn more about it and also see what level 2 media has to offer and how difficult it can be at times we got told the rules and we could happen if we broke those rules we took a tour of the building.
